2011 is going to get better...
Well, The start of my first weekend has not been up to my expectations. My flight on Wednesday back to LA took forever. I did not get home until after 2 am. (5 am EST). Fortunately, I met a really cool lady and her husband on the flight, so at least I got to have a few laughs and I also picked up a few more suggestions to my list.
I have now posted my list on the sidebar so that I can continue to update it and check things off.
Needless to say, I slept most of Thursday and then my friend came over to hang out. I got a case of food poisoning and had to stay in the bedroom and bathroom for the remainder of the night. I am finally feeling a little bit human today. However, there is no way that I will make it to Pasadena for the Rose Parade tomorrow. I will find something on my list to do instead. Sunday is the Lakers game. Then the first day of the new work year!
Rest up...it is going to be a crazy year!

Advice Requested
Helllooo,
I am thinking of trying to start off the New Year and my first of 52 Weekends with the Tournament of Roses Parade...
The main issue is that it starts at 8 am and they suggest you get there 2 hours ahead of time (that is if you bought a seat, which I will definitely do if I accept this challenge). So, I would need to get up at about 4 am! Please let me know if you think I should do it?!! Mind you, I am going to the Lakers game on the 2nd, so it will be a jammed packed weekend.
Secondly, I have a great song that kind of tells the story of this blog. It is available on the sidebar of this blog, but, you have to click on the link and then click the play button next to the song. I am working to see if I can make it an automatic play song with controls so you can turn it off while you are reading. Let me know your thoughts...
Thanks!!!
More to come but probably not a ton until the New Year. I am planning on posting weekly unless some really exciting things happen...Let's hope so!!!!
Cheers,
S~

Starting my LA life - 6 months late
Hello....
I have decided to start this blog in order to force myself to get OUT there and see what LA has to offer.
I am hoping that I can share some cool stuff that other people might want to check out. The impetus for this blog came from a line in a movie I saw that stated "There are 52 Weekends in a year, what are doing with those weekends?" This quote further reminded me of my friend Mark's favorite quote " You will have plenty of time to sleep when you are DEAD!"
Well, since I moved here in June, I have done very little living: most days, thus far, have involved travel, work, trying to work out, travel and work. Not to sound like a sad sack, I do have a super cool cousin that lives nearby and a long time friend that is also in the area, but I see both of them very infrequently. My best times thus far in my trip in Lala land have involed my old ATL friends coming into town. Thanks!!!
So, here is the deal...Starting the first week in January, I am going to do as many awesome SoCal things I can do per week. Since, I travel A LOT, not all of these cool excursions will be limited to the beauty of Southern California. Further, all will not happen over the weekend, but mind you, something will happen each week.
So, those are the ground rules I have set for myself. I am looking forward to comments and suggestions.
Upcoming Dates:
Jan 2 - Lakers Game
