Starting my LA life - 6 months late

Hello....

I have decided to start this blog in order to force myself to get OUT there and see what LA has to offer.

I am hoping that I can share some cool stuff that other people might want to check out.  The impetus for this blog came from a line in a movie I saw that stated "There are 52 Weekends in a year, what are doing with those weekends?" This quote further reminded me of my friend Mark's favorite quote " You will have plenty of time to sleep when you are DEAD!"

Well, since I moved here in June, I have done very little living: most days, thus far, have involved travel, work, trying to work out, travel and work.  Not to sound like a sad sack, I do have a super cool cousin that lives nearby and a long time friend that is also in the area, but I see both of them very infrequently. My best times thus far in my trip in Lala land have involed my old ATL friends coming into town. Thanks!!!

So, here is the deal...Starting the first week in January, I am going to do as many awesome SoCal things I can do per week.  Since, I travel A LOT, not all of these cool excursions will be limited to the beauty of Southern California. Further, all will not happen over the weekend, but mind you, something will happen each week.

So, those are the ground rules I have set for myself.  I am looking forward to comments and suggestions.

Upcoming Dates:
Jan 2 - Lakers Game

  1. I think to have a true LA experience you have to run across at least one taping of a TV program. On a visit a couple of years ago I wandered down to Santa Monica and found myself at a shoot for Nip/Tuck. I've never watched the show but it was still kinda neat to see them go thru several takes of a scene over and over again.

  2. That is an awesome idea!!! I think I might have an in for a taping of "Two and a Half Men". Not as exciting as a live on the street shooting but a good start!

    Thanks and Happy Holidays!
